Police called to DeLand hospital after man shows up suffering from gunshot wounds

DELAND, Fla. – A man arrived at a DeLand hospital Tuesday night while suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

Officers said they were called to Advent Health DeLand just after 9 p.m. after receiving reports about a 21-year-old man who had been shot.

The man, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, told officers that he had been shot in the 200 block of Clara Avenue, police said.

In a news release, the department said detectives went to the area, but no other information about the shooting has been released.
