Dog, cat die in Orange County house fire that displaced 5, officials say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A cat and a dog died and five people were displaced in a fire at an Orange County home Friday afternoon, according to officials.

Crews said they responded around 1 p.m. to the burning two-story house on 5039 Oak Tours Drive in Edgewood, finding that the second floor was 80% involved.

Sky 6 video shows scorch marks on the home and one of its partially damaged sides.

According to Orange County firefighters, the residents weren’t home, but a cat and a dog were found dead there after the fire was put out.

The American Red Cross of Central Florida began work Friday to find accommodations for five adults displaced due to the fire.
