WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. – Firefighters responded to a burning recycling plant in Winter Springs on Saturday.
The fire at Dominion Metal Recycling on Wade Street was quickly put out through the combined efforts of Seminole County and Longwood firefighters, according to a spokesperson for the Seminole County Fire Department.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is unknown, the spokesperson said.
Traffic on Wade Street was being redirected to 17-92 at the time of this writing. Lanes were temporarily closed on State Road 419 to run fire hoses, but that roadway has since been reopened.
