Driver flees after Port Orange police pull over stolen vehicle

PORT ORANGE, Fla. – Port Orange police announced on Monday evening that they’re searching for a driver after a stolen vehicle was pulled over.

In a release around 6:47 p.m., police said that officers were in the area of Clyde Morris Boulevard and Taylor Road following the traffic stop.

Investigators explained that the driver had fled, ultimately abandoning the vehicle and running on foot.

“Please avoid or take caution in the area and report any suspicious persons in the area to 911,” the release reads.

No additional information has been provided at this time, including the identity of the suspect.
