BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A week after a teenager died on a cruise, authorities still aren’t saying how Anna Kepner died.
From Anna’s neighborhood to her school, everyone Titusville Community Correspondent James Sparvero met Friday was wondering when the FBI would give their heartbroken community some answers.
“What happened to this poor girl, you know,” Joe Souza asked.
The neighbor took a walk Friday down Anna’s street.
Like many, Souza is following news about the death.
With Miami’s medical examiner putting the time of Kepner’s death as Friday, Nov. 7, the ship she was on, the Carnival Horizon, returned to Miami the following day.

“The girl was found dead in her room,” Souza said. “So who knows what happened, right? The FBI is the only one that’s gonna find out.”
Each time this week, when Sparvero asked, the FBI told him it had nothing new to report.
Friday, Anna’s car was still parked at Temple Christian School.
“The weather’s holding the flowers up beautifully, and people are still stopping by, visiting,” Dana Woolf said.
The parent said no one’s hearing anything new on campus, either.
“Answers would be good because it’s still been over a week, and nobody knows much, other than what the news is telling you,” Woolf said. “And that’s just it was a death, you know.”
The parent also acknowledged there’ve been many rumors spreading about the circumstances.
“Absolutely, and within this time frame, there’s always a little more details of something coming out about it, and they’re still just keeping it as simple as possible,” she said.
Anna’s celebration of life service will be Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Grove Church on Harrison and Barna in Titusville.
