BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A judge on Tuesday rejected a motion by a former Brevard County teacher convicted in a drunken house party with teens requesting to end her probation.
Karly Anderson was convicted of resisting an officer and disorderly intoxication the night of an underage party at the principal’s house.
In May, Judge Kim Musselman sentenced Anderson, formerly of Teddy Roosevelt Elementary, to a year of probation.
Cocoa Beach Community Correspondent James Sparvero in September talked to Anderson’s attorney, who said the ex-teacher had already satisfied the terms of her probation.

Ken Weaver hoped to make that argument to Judge Ben Garagozlo in September but the judge postponed the hearing while the court was waiting on a ruling to give Anderson back the $500 she was ordered to give the Children’s Advocacy Center.
According to court records, a judge heard and denied the motion.
Weaver argued that while the party involved minors, Anderson’s charges did not.
“She’s done everything she’s supposed to do,” the defense attorney said. “It’s time for her probation to be terminated.”
James Sparvero asked Weaver about Anderson’s intentions.
“I don’t know what Karly wants to do,” Weaver answered about whether Anderson wants to teach again.
He then said, “No,” when asked if the ex-teacher had been treated fairly during her prosecution. Anderson is also appealing her conviction.
The former principal who hosted the party, Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan, is still awaiting trial.
