Grenade discovered in Orlando neighborhood, fire officials say

Fire department confirms explosive was inert

ORLANDO, Fla. – During a response to a neighborhood in Orlando on Friday afternoon, crews managed to uncover a grenade, according to the fire department.

In a release, fire officials said they initially responded to an “incident involving a potential explosive device” within the 3000 block of Graceland Court.

But upon arrival, crews confirmed that the device was an inert grenade, officials added.

“The scene was turned over to the Patrick Space Force Base EOD team,” the release reads.

No additional information was provided, including why the grenade was there in the first place.
