LAKE MARY, Fla. – A dog was killed early Monday in house fire in Lake Mary, officials said.
The fire was reported around 4:30 a.m. at a house on Short Street, near Lake Mary Boulevard and Country Club Road.
Lake Mary fire officials said two adults, two teens, a dog and a cat were able to get out of the house, but one dog did not survive.
The Red Cross is assisting the family.
Firefighters from Lake Mary, Sanford and Seminole County battled the blaze, the cause of which is under investigation.
