UCF trying to stay level-headed against BYU with bowl berth on the line

Kickoff Saturday afternoon in Provo, UT

ORLANDO, Fla. – The scenario seems simple for UCF: Win one more game, and the Knights secure a bowl game.

The challenge? Travel to No. 11 BYU and win on the road for the first time this season. UCF hasn’t won a road game since Sept. 14, 2025, at TCU. The last time UCF beat a ranked opponent on the road was in 2022 against Tulane, when UCF was still in the American Athletic Conference.

The Knights (5-6, 2-6 Big 12) are coming off a 17-14 win over Oklahoma State. The team is doing their best to treat this do-or-die game as another regular game on the schedule. But, there’s no denying the stakes are higher.

BYU (10-1, 7-1 Big 12) still has a chance at the Big 12 Championship. Beating UCF Saturday would all but secure a berth in the final. UCF can cause chaos with an upset win.
