ORLANDO, Fla. – For the first time ever, travelers can now book direct flights between Orlando and Tokyo, creating a link between two of the world’s most visited theme parks: Walt Disney World Resort and Tokyo Disney Resort.

The announcement was made at Tokyo’s Hotel New Otani, drawing executives from Disney, government officials, and tourism leaders.

The nonstop passenger charter service will be operated by ZIPAIR, a low-cost Japanese airline. It marks the first-ever direct flight between Tokyo and Orlando and the first nonstop passenger route connecting Florida with the Asia Pacific region.

“Our partnership with ZIPAIR is more than just a new route. It’s history,” said Lance Lyttle, Chief Executive Officer for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “

The charter flights will operate four times between Feb. 23 and March 10, 2026, between Orlando International Airport and Tokyo’s Narita International Airport.

The announcement quickly drew support across the Central Florida region, which has collaborated for several years to bring passenger flights to and from Japan.

“Direct connectivity between Orlando and Tokyo brings Disney magic closer than ever,” said Faron Kelley, SVP, Disney Destinations Sales Strategy & Solutions, Disney Experiences. “Whether it’s exploring the wonder of Walt Disney World Resort or enjoying the enchantment of Tokyo Disney Resort, this new nonstop flight opens the door to unforgettable vacations and cherished memories for families and friends on both sides of the globe.”

Flights are expected to go on sale in early December.
