Smoke rises from Florida golf-cart dealership. Here’s what happened

Crews respond to dealership on Goldenrod Road

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The general manager of a golf-cart dealership on Goldenrod Road says an extension cord caught fire there early Thursday.

The scene — that of smoke rising from rows of golf carts at the Jeffrey Allen, Inc. dealership — made it look as if the carts themselves were burning.

The general manager of the dealership later got in touch with News 6 to confirm it was an extension cord that caught fire, adding the building suffered no structural damage and affected customers have since been notified.
