ORLANDO, Fla. – Rain chances return to Central Florida this weekend as an upper level low moves through the area, adding instability and moisture into our atmosphere.
Tonight
Our stiff northeast breeze has helped to drag in spotty, speedy downpours this afternoon. This trend will continue into Friday evening and overnight. Spotty, quick-moving showers, favoring areas near the 95 corridor, are expected overnight and into early Saturday morning.
Saturday
As the low crosses over Central Florida Saturday, our sea breeze will be “juiced up” with added moisture for storms. A few isolated showers along the beaches and just offshore are expected Saturday morning. Our sea breeze will develop and start pushing showers just west of I-95 right around noon. These scattered showers and storms push towards I-4 right around 3pm. We will keep scattered storms pushing westward for the second half of the afternoon, favoring areas near and just east of I-75 around 5-6pm. High temperatures will hit the upper 80s to low 90s.
Sunday
Our Sunday forecast will be a near rinse and repeat forecast as Saturday as our upper level low sits just west of our area. The counterclockwise flow around this low will continue to drag moisture to our south into our area. Scattered afternoon sea breeze storms moving from east to west are expected as high temperatures hover around 90ºF.
