Bethune-Cookman University reopens student-run restaurant Cub Paradise

7 seatings remain open for reservations through April

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Reservations are now available at the recently reopened Cub Paradise, a student-run restaurant at Bethune-Cookman University.

Cub Paradise held the first of eight seatings on Thursday, according to a news release. Reservations are available to students, faculty and the community for the remaining seven events.

Each seating has a different theme. They are:

  • Thursday, Feb. 22 – Black History
  • Thursday, Feb. 29 – Italiano Eleganza: A Taste of Italy
  • Thursday, March 21 – Caribbean Flavorz
  • Thursday, March 28 – Easter Buzz
  • Thursday, April 4 – Asian Fusion
  • Thursday, April 11 – Seafood Extravaganza
  • Tuesday, April 16 – International Buffet

Participation in Cub Paradise serves as part of a Foodservice Systems Management course at the university, the release said.

“The course focuses on leadership and management in the hospitality industry and provides Collaborative Experiential Learning (CEL) in managing food service systems and leading teams through the on-campus fine dining restaurant Cub Paradise,” the university said.

Cub Paradise is located on the first floor of the business building on the school’s campus.

The school renovated the restaurant in fall 2023 and it now seats up to 53 guests, according to the release.
