ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The Fourth of July is just around the corner. There is never a shortage of ways to celebrate the holiday across Central Florida, including festivals, 5K races, parades and, of course, signature firework displays.
There are a wide variety of free events in the local area. Here is a listing of some you might want to add to your Fourth of July weekend plans.

BREVARD COUNTY
Rockledge Independence Day Picnic
- When: Thursday, July 4, at 10 a.m.
- Where: McLarty Park in Rockledge.
- What: Activities, games, food, music and more.
Red, White and Boom over North Brevard
- When: Thursday, July 4, at 6 p.m. Fireworks start around 9:15 p.m.
- Where: Chain of Lakes Park in Titusville.
- What: Music, food, local business vendors, family-fun activities and fireworks.
- When: Thursday, July 4, at 8 p.m.
- Where: Front Street Park in Melbourne.
- What: Food trucks, fun and fireworks.
- When: Thursday, July 4, at 8 p.m.
- Where: Cocoa Riverfront Park.
- What: Performance by Brevard Symphony Orchestra and fireworks.
- When: Thursday, July 4, at 9 p.m.
- Where: Space Coast Daily Park in Viera Beach.
- What: Vibrant fireworks display just east of the USSSA Space Coast Complex.
- When: Friday, July 5, at 5 p.m. Fireworks start around 9:15 p.m.
- Where: Eastern Florida State College Palm Bay Campus.
- What: Over 20 food trucks, vendors, live music, games, face painting and fireworks.
FLAGLER COUNTY
- When: Thursday, July 4, at 11 a.m.
- Where: Veteran’s Park in Flagler Beach.
- What: Stars and Stripes parade will run from North 6th Street to South 6th Street, along A1A, and then an Independence Day-themed Music in the Park will last throughout the day.
- When: Thursday, July 4, at 9 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m.
- Where: Flagler County Airport.
- What: Reading of the Declaration of Independence, followed by a fireworks display.
LAKE COUNTY
- When: Wednesday, July 3, at 5 p.m.
- Where: Elizabeth Evans Park in Mount Dora.
- What: Live music, fun activities, food trucks, beverages and fireworks.
- When: Thursday, July 4, at 5 p.m.
- Where: Waterfront Park in Clermont.
- What: Traditional Americana-type activities for all ages, bounce houses, live music, food trucks and fireworks over Lake Minneola.
- When: Saturday, July 6, and Sunday, July 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Where: Brownwood Paddock Square in The Villages.
- What: A festival showcasing the artwork of crafters from all over the country, exhibits, displays and vendors.
MARION COUNTY
When: Thursday, July 4 from 5-10 p.m.
Where: Tuscawilla Park in Ocala
What: Join us for a stunning drone show that will light up the night sky in a dazzling display of patriotism and creativity. Marvel at the synchronized movements of 300 drones as they paint the sky with colors and shapes, creating a truly mesmerizing experience for all ages.
SEMINOLE COUNTY
- When: Wednesday, July 3, at 5 p.m. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.
- Where: Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs.
- What: Live music from five local bands, food and drinks, festivities and a fireworks display.
- When: Thursday, July 4, at 7 p.m. Fireworks around 9:15 p.m.
- Where: Along the Riverwalk in Sanford.
- What: Kids zone (playground and splash pad) in Fort Mellon Park, music hosted by K92.3 Jay Edwards, food and drinks, vendors, live performers and fireworks over Lake Monroe.
Fourth of July Parade & Festival
- When: Thursday, July 4. Festival starting at 8:30 a.m. and parade at 10 a.m.
- Where: Rural Heritage Center in Geneva.
- What: Vendors, food booths, marching bands, patriot awards, vintage airplane flyovers, activities for kids, parade and more Independence Day festivities.
- When: Thursday, July 4. Gates open at 5 p.m.
- Where: Central Winds Park in Winter Springs.
- What: Live entertainment, food trucks, vendors, and a free kid’s zone. The night will wrap up with a world-class fireworks display!
ORANGE COUNTY
Fireworks at the Fountain 2024
- When: Thursday, July 4, at 4 p.m. Fireworks start 9:10 p.m.
- Where: Lake Eola Park in Orlando.
- What: Fireworks, family-friendly activities, food and beverages, live entertainment and more.
- When: Thursday, July 4, at 5 p.m.
- Where: Avalon Park in Orlando.
