DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A good Samaritan discovered over 2 pounds of fentanyl that washed up on Daytona Beach, officials said Thursday.
U.S. Border Patrol agents seized the package and issued a warning in a post on X.

“Do not attempt to disturb or handle any suspicious packages along the shoreline,” said Andrew Scharnweber, interim chief patrol agent of the U.S. Border Patrol - Miami Sector. “Contact local authorities immediately.”
No other details about the fentanyl, including where it may have come from, have been released.
