Spotty storms for Sunday Funday!

Sea breeze weather pattern is beginning to establish itself.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Showers continue to fade after dancing around Central Florida earlier this afternoon, mainly between I-4 and I-75. These showers will dissipate by 9pm, leaving for a slightly muggy and mild evening with passing clouds. Lows will drop down into the low-mid 70s.

Hourly Forecast for Sunday Morning.

Our Sunday Funday will begin with strong sunshine mixed with a few fair weather clouds. Brunch plans are a GO with mainly dry conditions through noon, however, it will feel a little muggier than Saturday. Highs will hit the low 90s before spotty storms fire up along our Atlantic sea breeze.

In-house rain models showing storms mostly inland Sunday.

Our steering flow will gradually increase off the Atlantic waters, meaning most showers will be west of downtown Orlando and quickly push towards the I-75 corridor for the afternoon. We will keep a 30% chance of spotty storms mid-late afternoon.

Onshore winds will persist into next week.

Our onshore flow will persist into early next week, allowing for isolated to spotty sea breeze storms each afternoon. This is a tell-tale sign that we are slowly transitioning to our rainy season as our afternoon sea breeze storms become more prevalent.
