Steamy Sunday with sea breeze storms

Areas east of I-4 will see most of the storms this afternoon.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Our Sunday morning will be dry with a mix of sun and clouds. That, mixed with a light WSW wind, will allow temperatures to once again climb into the mid 90s with “feels like” temperatures once again in the 100ºF-105ºF range.

Scattered sea breeze storms hovering around I-4 late Sunday afternoon.

Our storms will begin to spark up around the 2pm hour. With a stronger westerly steering flow, these storms will push back towards the east coast for the second half of the afternoon and into the early evening.

Upper level ridging expected to build over Florida next week.

Temperatures continue to crank up moving into the upcoming work week as a ridge of high pressure in the mid-upper levels of the atmosphere begins to build over Florida. This will provide sinking, warming air across Central Florida. This will do two things: lower rain chances and increase temperatures.

High temperatures expected to remain above average into next week.

Mid to even upper 90s are possible by week’s end and into next weekend with heat indices well over 100ºF.
