ORLANDO, Fla. – As a tropical wave makes its way towards Central Florida, the tropical moisture attached to it will spell for continued wet weather across the area.
Friday
A slot of dry air out ahead of this wave early Friday will help keep shower and thunderstorm coverage more on the scattered side at least through noon. Expect a spotty showers along the coastline for the morning commute as our onshore flow continues. The sea breeze will continue to push inland throughout the morning, helping to develop showers near the I-4 corridor around lunchtime, 11am-12pm. Showers and storms continue to fill in throughout the afternoon moving from east to west. Highs will touch 90ºF briefly before cooling showers develop.
This Weekend
With more tropical moisture moving into Central Florida on the backside of this tropical wave Saturday, rain chances remain elevated for the first half of the weekend. Rain chances will hover in the 60-70% range for our neighborhoods as our sea breeze is super charged with this added moisture. If you’re looking for better beach weather, rain chances begin to decline Sunday as drier air begins to push in from the Atlantic. Rain chances will return to “normal” 40-50% for Sunday afternoon with these storms pushing from east to west. Highs will remain in the low 90s.
