Universal Orlando teases restaurants, new menu items in Epic Universe

Over 100 creative menu items

“Blood” Orange Chicken Sandwich (Universal Orlando Resort)

ORLANDO, Fla. – Universal Orlando Resort’s Epic Universe will be serving up over 100 delicious food and beverages for guests to try across the five imaginative worlds, the theme park said in a news release.

Epic Universe is set to open May 22, which will bring dining experiences from fast casual dining to full-service restaurants in 30 locations and a variety of cuisines, according to Universal.

Guests can savor Asian, Italian and French cuisines, along with seafood, barbecue, and uniquely themed items to each world in the theme park.

Celestial Park

Celestial Park will have more than 15 dining locations including the Atlantic restaurant, which sits across Neptune’s Pool, The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant and barbecue spot The Oak & Star Tavern.

Some of the dishes and beverages include:

Atlantic

  • Sea Bass: A delectable portion of Sea Bass with a subtle sweetness of carrot mochi and sugar snap peas, accompanied with lemongrass broth and starfruit slices.
  • Landlubber’s Snickerdoodle Loot: A snickerdoodle cake served in a beach pail with cookie butter ganache, surrounded by Biscoff sand and gummy sharks.
  • Grand Atlantic Martini: A cocktail with dry gin, aperitif wine and a gilded lemon twist for garnish

The Oak & Star Tavern

  • Platter with Mango Bread & Pickles: Choose from smoked brisket, smoked ribs, pulled pork, cheddar jalapeno sausage or spit-roasted herbed-infused chicken and pair with sides like braised greens, mac and cheese, and more
  • The Plastered Owl: A cocktail crafted with dark rye whiskey, simple syrup, cherry syrup, lemon juice, lemon wedges and muddled cherries

The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant

  • Khaosan Boba: Thai-inspired milk tea paired with coffee boba and frothy coffee foam.
  • Tonkotsu Ramen: Ramen noodles in a rich pork broth, topped with tender chashu pork, tare egg, shiitake mushrooms, and fragrant togarashi oil.

Pizza Moon

  • Harvest Moon Pizza: A vegan pizza with rich tomato sauce, grilled artichoke hearts, Divina tomatoes and roasted peppers, topped with Castelvetrano olives and arugula.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic will include a variety of dining locations serving French-inspired cuisine and new iterations of family favorites.

Some of the dishes include:

Café L’air De La Sirène

  • Butterbeer Crêpe: For the first time ever, enjoy the flavors of Butterbeer in a crepe that includes shortbread cookie butter, Bavarian cream, Butterbeer cream, strawberries, Butterbeer drizzle and a Butterbeer shortbread cookie.
  • Baguette de Dinde: Sliced cracked black pepper turkey piled high with arugula, crisp apples and creamy Brie served with a warm crusty baguette with zesty mustard butter and apple butter.

Le Gobelet Noir

  • Alchemist’s Platter: A spread of smoked sausage, potato and cheese pierogies, tangy pickled eggs, marinated beets, savory caramelized onions, and a warm pretzel served with German mustard and cheese fondue.
  • Lentil Stew: A vegan stew of lentils, vegan bacon, and root vegetables served with artisan bread.

Super Nintendo World

Power up at Super Nintendo World with four dining locations inspired by the world’s experiences at Toadstool Cafe, Yoshi’s Snack Island and more.

Some of the dishes include:

Toadstool Cafe

  • Mario Burger: Bacon, mushroom, tomato and cheese served with a beef patty on a brioche bun and a side of truffle French fries.
  • Luigi Burger: Pesto grilled chicken, cheese, green peppers, and fresh spinach, on a soft brioche bun with a side of truffle French fries.
  • Bowser’s Fireball Challenge: A towering one-pound meatball topped with mozzarella cheese in mushroom marinara sauce, served with a Bowser-inspired puff pastry and a side of hot sauce.

Yoshi’s Snack Island

  • Yoshi’s Smoothie: Granny Smith apple and sweet honeydew syrup, frozen to creamy perfection with milk and topped with whipped cream and green apple bursting boba.

How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk

Feast like Vikings at the Isle of Berk with dining locations like Mead Hall, Spit Fyre Grill and Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel.

Some of the dishes and beverages include:

Mead Hall

  • Yaknog: A fun drink inspired by the adventure of Berk: rich and creamy concoction of malted chocolate, cinnamon and a generous swirl of whipped cream.
  • Thawfest Platter: A spread of chicken drumsticks glazed in a wild berry BBQ glaze, grilled salmon and sausage served with a medley of roasted carrots, cipollini onions, Nordic fries, and side sauces.

Dark Universe

While exploring Darkmoor, dine at locations like Das Stakehaus, The Burning Blade Tavern and De Lacey’s Cottage.

  • “Blood” Orange Chicken Sandwich: A flash-fried marinated chicken breast tossed in blood orange sauce served in a black bun with pickles, a slaw and crispy fries.
  • Our Favorite Vegan Familiar’s Stuffed Cabbage: Impossible meat wrapped in cabbage leaves in a rich bell pepper tomato sauce accompanied by a vibrant beet bucatini.

The Burning Blade Tavern

  • Hunter’s Garlic Stake: A crispy cheesy garlic pretzel served with a garlic dipping sauce.
