Going on vacation? These Florida hotels are the best in the state

U.S. News & World Report has released its 2025 list of the best hotels in the U.S., giving prospective vacationers some insight on where best to book their stays.

The study examines factors like class ratings, property types and reviews to determine which are the top picks for those looking to get the most luxurious experience possible.

“Across the United States, the most impressive hotels go above and beyond to accommodate and welcome guests, offering an array of luxurious amenities, exciting cultural experiences, gourmet dining options and well-equipped accommodations that make for an excellent night’s rest,” the study reads.

The specific variables used to rank hotels on this list are as follows:

• Awards and Recognition: Includes the number of selective accolades earned by hotels, such as the AAA Four and Five Diamond Awards, Forbes Four and Five Star Awards, and TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards, among others
• Hotel Class: Hotels received more points based on whether they had a 3-, 4- or 5-star rating
• Guest Rating: Calculated using review data and feedback from customers

Nationwide, the top hotel was the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai in Hawaii, which researchers dubbed “the pinnacle of paradise.” Between the number of excursions and amenities available through the resort, the study states that it was the No. 1 pick for this year.

However, the No. 2 pick can be found right here in the Sunshine State — the Acqualina Resort & Residences near Miami Beach.
