Central Florida’s 1st Jollibee announces opening date. Here’s when you can get some Chickenjoy

Restaurant is third Florida location for Filipino fast-food chain

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee is finally getting ready to open the doors on its first Central Florida location nearly two years after it was first announced.

The Jollibee location at 11891 E. Colonial Drive, just south of the University of Central Florida’s main campus, will hold its grand opening on Wednesday, Jan. 18. The company announced the opening date on its Instagram page.

The company said the new restaurant will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m.

“Customers can pick up their orders to go or enjoy the convenience of the two-lane drive-thru service beginning on opening day,” the company said in a news release. “Dine-in, online ordering, and delivery will not be available on opening day, but will be made available in the coming weeks.”

Jollibee is a fast-food chain based in the Philippines that focuses on fried chicken. It also offers burgers, hotdogs, a burger steak — which appears reminiscent of Salsbury steak — and its own take on spaghetti.

The company had originally planned to open in 2022. It is not clear what caused the delay.

This will be Jollibee’s third Florida location. The other two are in Jacksonville and Pinellas Park.
