Winter Park-based Jimmy Hula’s set to open 10th restaurant in New Smyrna Beach

Company just signed deal to bring 25 new locations to Florida’s east coast

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – Winter Park-based chain Jimmy Hula’s is getting read to open its 10th restaurant, this time setting up shop in a historic building in New Smyrna Beach.

The new location is opening up inside the former “Bob’s Automotive” building on the corner of Canal and Faulkner streets. No opening date has been set, but the company said it plans to open in the spring.

Jimmy Hula’s said in a news release that it is working to use as much of the existing building as possible to preserve the it’s history.

The restaurant will feature seating for 150 guests, a covered outdoor dining area and a full liquor bar, according to the release.

The new location will be managed by Parkerstark management, which also runs Jimmy Hula’s locations in Ormond Beach, Port Orange and St. Augustine, the company said.

Jimmy Hula’s is set to undergo a big expansion in the coming years. The company said it just recently sold two “Master Franchise” deals which will see the development of 25 new locations along Florida’s east coast, stretching from St. John’s County to Miami-Dade County.

The restaurant’s menu features a variety of surf and turf tacos, along with burgers, burritos, sandwiches, salads and nachos.
