ORLANDO, Fla. – Cupid’s Hot Dogs has closed its first and only Central Florida location, but this is not the end of the chain’s presence here.
On Nov. 15 the restaurant announced via social media that it is closing its Orlando location off 1515 Lee Road.

However, it is planning to relocate and open in Casselberry, the franchisee Sorot Boyd Chamlongsupalak told News 6. The plan he said is to have this new restaurant open by February 2025.

The Orlando location will then be fully owned by Red Panda Noodle, as it started sharing the space with Cupid’s last year, according to Chamlongsupalak.
“I believe they are in an expanding phase, and they require all the space they can get,” Chamlongsupalak said in a prepared statement.
He didn’t mention any key factors in why he is closing shop in Orlando, but he said this new location in Casselberry will have some differences that are better for business. For example, it will be a smaller space and closer to the chain’s target audience, he said.
Cupid’s Hot Dogs has three other locations, all within the San Fernando Valley, according to its website.
Chamlongsupalak is the sole franchisee on the East Coast, and he previously told News 6 that he was made aware of the hot dog chain by his wife, who grew up in California.
He opened the Orlando location back in 2022 and he previously mentioned plans to open four to five more restaurants across Central Florida.
Cupid’s serves Vienna hot dogs, chips, and chili. It offers toppings for the dogs such as mustard, onions, relish, and mayo, according to its website.
