ORLANDO, Fla. – National Pizza Day is on Feb. 9 (the same day as the Super Bowl!) which means indulging on cheesy goodness and enjoying the game.

Celebrate this special day with these Orlando-area pizza joints and restaurants, serving up a variety of styles, sizes and toppings, fit for every pizza lover’s dream.

1. AJ’s Pizza Joint - Winter Garden

  • AJ’s Pizza Joint is a newly-opened pizza joint in Winter Garden, bringing a fresh concept with a variety of pizza styles, including Brooklyn, Sicilian, and Detroit-style pizzas. Their dough is made with a three-day fermentation process, with tomato-crushed red sauce and toppings. Plus, their bathroom has a special disco surprise.

2. Black Magic Pizza - Orlando Milk District

  • Black Magic Pizza serves hand-tossed tossed New-Neapolitan pizzas, with dough made in small batches to maintain their quality.
  • Black Magic Pizza is located in the Milk District on Bumby Avenue. They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. They have a 4.4 rating on Yelp.

3. Francesco’s Ristorante & Pizzeria - Maitland

  • Francesco’s is an authentic boutique Italian scratch kitchen, bringing rich flavors from southern Italy. Their pizzas are baked in a wood-burning oven and their pizza sauce is cooked daily by the chef. Chef Francesco said he creates every plate with love and passion to share with every guest.
  • Francesco’s Ristorante and Pizzeria is located in Maitland. They have a 4.2 rating on Yelp.

4. Lazy Moon Pizza - multiple locations

  • Lazy Moon Pizza serves up MASSIVE pizza, with one slice being larger than a person’s head! They also sell 20- and 30-inch pizzas. Their dough is fermented for 72 hours with fresh, in-house made sauces. Murals from local artists cover their walls as well.
  • Lazy Moon has locations in the Mills 50 District, Maitland and the UCF area. They have a 4.3 rating on Yelp.

5. Pienezza Pizza - Kissimmee

  • Pienezza Pizza is a family-owned and operated New York-style pizza joint. They are built on Brooklyn traditions from the ’70s, and serve a variety of pizzas whether its Sicilian, Grandma’s pie, vegan or gluten-free options.
  • Pienezza Pizza is located on John Young Parkway in Kissimmee. They are closed on Sundays. They have a 5.5 rating on Yelp.

6. Pigzza - Orlando Mills 50 District

  • Pigzza calls themselves an “Italianish joint,” serving a modern and contemporary twist on pizza, pasta and cocktails. Some of their toppings include blackened shrimp, grape jelly barbecue, cowboy candy, smoked brisket and marinated artichokes.
  • Pigzza is located in Orlando’s Mills 50 District and is closed on Mondays. They have a 4.2 rating on Yelp.

7. SoDough Square - multiple locations

  • SoDough Square serves up Detroit-style square-shaped pizza in traditional blue steel pans, marking their unique style. Their pizza is made with 24-hour fermented artisan dough, house-made Detroit red sauce from fresh pack tomatoes, and proprietary shredded brick cheese blend. The standout feature of their pizza is the “frico”— caramelized cheese crust.
  • SoDough Square has four locations: Winter Park, South Downtown, UCF Area, and Lake Mary. They have a 4.9 rating on Yelp.

8. Three Odd Guys Brewing - Apopka

  • Although Three Odd Guys is a local brewery in Apopka, they also serve New York-style pizza fed with 30G beer yeast, making a unique pie.
  • Three Odd Buys Brewing is located in Apopka. They have a 4.6 rating on Yelp. (Note: One of the owners, Philip Deems, also works at News 6)

9. Ziggie’s Pizza - Orlando Ivanhoe District

  • Ziggie’s Pizza is run by the brother-duo Christian and Floyd Ziegler. They serve personal sized thin-crust pizzas with a unique combination of flavors topped with house-made ingredients. Standouts include their hot honey pizza.
  • Ziggie’s Pizza is located in the Lake Ivanhoe District and is connected to a local bar, The Thirsty Topher. They have a 4.7 rating on Yelp.
