SANFORD, Fla. – Former brick-and-mortar Orlando staple Pom Pom’s Teahouse & Sandwicheria has announced plans to set up shop at a food hall in Sanford.

The owners shared the news Wednesday morning on social media, stating they couldn’t resist the timing, space and partnership of coming to Henry’s Depot Food Hall along W. First Street.

“LOOKING FORWARD TO SERVING THE COMMUNITY WITH SOME FUN AND DELICIOUS SANDWICHS (sic),” the post states. “SEE YOU SOOOOON !!! POM POMS IS BAAACK !!!”

Pom Pom’s closed its longstanding location in Orlando’s Milk District in 2024, nearly 20 years since it opened there in 2005.

Nestled in a strip mall along N. Bumby Avenue, the spot was known for staying open late and serving specialty sandwiches with eclectic flavor such as “The Billy Chang” (smoked brisket, blue cheese, red onions and strawberry jelly), “Spicy Elvis” (banana, bacon, strawberry jelly and cayenne peanut butter) and “Mama Ling Ling’s Thanksgiving” (turkey, gouda, stuffing, ginger cranberry chutney, mashed potatoes and cream cheese).

There’s no word this soon on what the new location’s menu will offer.
