ORLANDO, Fla. – News 6 and AdventHealth Centra Care are teaming up once again to offer free flu shots in Central Florida.
Centra Care will host the events, at which Central Floridians can receive free flu shots. No appointment, insurance or identification is needed.
The events will be held at the following locations from 2-5 p.m. on the dates listed below:
- November 11: 4451 W. 1st St. in Sanford
- November 13: 11550 University Blvd. in Orlando
- November 14: 2345 E. Hwy 50 in Clermont
The Centers for Disease Control recommends an annual influenza vaccine for everyone 6 months of age and older, including healthy adults.
Vaccination is especially important for people at higher risk of serious influenza complications or those living with or caring for people at higher risk for serious influenza complications.
It takes two weeks for the vaccine to take effect.
