OCALA, Fla. – A precautionary boil water notice was lifted Saturday for the Ocala Oaks community in Marion County.
The Florida Government Utility Authority announced the notice after a water main break and there were reports of low or no water pressure, affecting 650 customers, a release said.

Officials said the precautionary boil water notice would remain in effect until tested water samples indicate the water is safe to drink.
“All biological testing samples were negative and therefore you may resume water usage as normal. The samples were analyzed by a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory that confirmed the drinking water is safe to drink,” the FGUA said in a release on Saturday.
