"She might have suffered some exhaustion," Brevard County Fire-Rescue spokesman Lt. Jeff Taylor told the newspaper. "Fighting a rip current is a fairly tiring process."
Lifeguards noticed the woman was in danger and helped her swim out of the rip current.
The National Weather Service told the newspaper a cool front moving into the area Friday will make the surf rough again.
