ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City Commissioner Regina Hill is talking to Local 6 for the first time since a raid on a home she owns.
After being out of the area for several days on business, Hill is at a National Night Out event Wednesday evening and says that she has been unfairly scrutinized for the actions of others.
"It's not fair. I've been a hard-working woman and a mother for 27 years, and a nurse for 23 years. I have reports for 24 years. I am trying to serve my community," Hill told Local 6.
Hill's son, Rakeem, was arrested on Friday along with four others and charged with trafficking meth and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Hundreds of grams of drugs and at least one stolen gun were found inside of the home that Hill owns.
Deputies raided it last week after it had been under surveillance for months.
