Witness describes 'gruesome' Ocoee crash scene that left 2 dead

Tammer Mansour charged with vehicular manslaughter

OCOEE, Fla. – Ocoee police continue to investigate after a couple was killed while walking along West Silver Lake Road late Friday night.

Investigators said the victims, Richard Giannazzo, 54, and Diana Cole, 55, both died at the scene after being hit by a Lincoln SUV.

Witnesses told investigators the driver and passenger inside the vehicle took off running.

"The noises and whatnot -- it was things you couldn't even imagine," said witness Chris LaBrie. "Seeing some of the gruesome images every time you close your eyes, it doesn't really go away. You know, some things can't be unseen."

Officers said they located the suspect, Tammer Mansour, 35, walking a short distance from the crash site.

LaBrie was able to identify Mansour as the driver.

"It was crazy seeing him again," LaBrie said. "I'm glad they got him and all that. He just looked like he has a stone-cold look on his face. You know, he didn't have any remorse for what just happened."

Investigators said Mansour's passenger told them the couple had just left the Ocoee Founder's Day Festival.

Police also obtained a warrant to conduct a blood test on Mansour.

Giannazzo's family said he was a military veteran who had moved to Central Florida to be closer to his elderly mother.

Detectives also said evidence obtained from the vehicle shows it was traveling 78 mph at the time of the crash. The posted speed in the area is 35 mph.

Mansour is being charged with two felony counts of vehicular manslaughter.
