Air travel slumped 61% in 2020, TSA says

It’s a 61% drop from 2019 but still, it’s a good chunk of people considering months of public health guidance to not travel.

The new tally comes on the heels of a pandemic air travel record set on Sunday.

On that day alone, more than 1.3 million people passed through TSA checkpoints at airports across the country.
