GRAND BAHAMA – A 27-year-old woman from Florida was found dead Monday in her cabin aboard a cruise ship headed to the Bahamas, according to the Royal Bahamas Police Force.

Members of the police force responded around 5:30 p.m. that day to the woman’s cabin, a statement reads. The woman was located unresponsive, declared dead after medical personnel from the ship assisted the officers and performed CPR, police said.

Officers confiscated a quantity of suspected cocaine from the cabin and arrested a 32-year-old Florida man, according to the statement.

The exact cause of the woman’s death is pending an autopsy, police said.

No other details were shared or confirmed, such as any more information about the identity of those involved or of the ship they were aboard.
