Florida snow tubing park delays opening due to Nicole

The opening of a snow tubing park in Florida is near, but it has been delayed a few days due to the weather from Nicole.

Snowcat Ridge was supposed to open for the season on Nov. 11, but the company announced that it would be delayed due to upcoming weather from Nicole.

The snow tubing park said the snow is ready and that it made a tough decision to delay the opening.

Snowcat Ridge will now open on Wednesday, Nov. 16.

“We are making this decision for the safety of our guests and to ensure that our guests have the best possible experience at our park,” Snowcat Ridge officials said on its Facebook page.

On its Facebook post, Snowcat Ridge said guests who purchased tickets for Nov. 11-13 have been issued refunds.

Snowcat Ridge in Dade City, Florida, is a snow park where you will find a 60-foot tall, 400-foot long snow tubing hill with single, tandem or 10-person snow tube rides.

After trips up and down the snow tubing hill, you can enjoy playing with real snow, making snow angels or having a snowball fight inside the Arctic Igloo.
