INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. – New videos show how a man accused of shooting and killing his wife in Orlando was arrested just hours later in Indian River County on Monday.
Armando Verdecia Carralero, 54, faces a charge of first-degree murder in the death of his wife Yuneisy Labrada Rodriguez, 44, according to the Orlando Police Department.
Rodriguez was found shot around 1:15 p.m. Monday at a shopping center near Lake Underhill Road and South Semoran Boulevard. Carralero was quickly identified as a suspect after witnesses reported he drove off, police said on social media.
The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office was soon alerted by a license plate reader that Carralero’s vehicle was in the county, the sheriff’s office posted.
Views from the sky, dashcams and body-worn cameras show Indian River deputies and Vero Beach police closing in on Carralero just before 4 p.m., following his vehicle into the parking lot of a commercial plaza off U.S. Route 1 and making the arrest without incident, according to the post.
Carralero faces a charge of first-degree murder with a firearm.
