Orange County Clerk of Courts Tiffany Moore Russell announces candidacy for mayor

Russell to speak Monday morning

Tiffany Moore Russell (Tiffany Moore Russell)

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County Clerk of Courts Tiffany Moore Russell has announced her candidacy for county mayor in 2026.

A former District 6 Orange County Commissioner and the county’s first Black clerk of courts, Russell was the youngest member of the county commission when she was elected in 2006 — serving two terms — going on to win her current role in 2014 and defend it since.

In previous talks with News 6, Russell told us that her wins have allowed her to break barriers.

Orange County’s current mayor, Jerry Demings, will complete his second and final allotted term in 2026.

Russell said she will file her candidacy papers on Monday.
