OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Health officials said they moved the COVID-19 testing site from the health department’s main office to Valencia College’s Kissimmee campus due to the high demand following the holidays.
“We had people that have been here since 5:30 a.m. They are coming in early,” Assistant Administrator Bret Smith said.
Smith said moving the testing site to the large parking lot at Valencia College, at 1800 Denn John Lane in Kissimmee, gives them more space and relieves crowds at their main office on Fortune Road.

“We’re seeing a lot of families show up. It’s not uncommon for us to see six to eight people in a vehicle coming through at times,” said Smith.
Smith said they tested 724 people Monday, nearly double their normal testing average.
The DOH will continue to offer free testing - no appointment needed - in the parking lot of Valencia College’s Kissimmee campus Monday through Saturday through the end of January. Testing will be available 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and as long as you’re in line by Noon, you will get tested.
Health officials ask that you wear a mask and bring a pen to fill out your paperwork.
The county’s health department continues to give COVID-19 vaccines at it’s main office located at 1875 Fortune Road in Kissimmee. Those 65 and older are eligible to get the vaccine, but they must make an appointment first. Click or tap HERE to learn more about appointment availability.
