Ocoee police investigate triple shooting

OCOEE, Fla. – Three men were found shot inside a car in an ALDI parking lot Saturday morning, Ocoee officials say.

According to authorities, the shooting occurred around 3:39 a.m. at 9250 W. Colonial Dr.

Ocoee police responded to the call, finding one man dead, and two others shot, inside a four-door silver Nissan Altima that had crashed into a wall. The victim at the scene was later identified as Kerry Pierre, 20.

The second victim, 22-year-old Jamy Blanc, died due to his injuries.

The third person shot, Kens Fregiste, 19, remained in critical condition at a hospital.

Officers identified Blanc as the owner of the car.

Lt. Mireya Iannuzzi admitted the investigation frustrated detectives, as they continue to figure out why this happened and who is responsible for it.

“We’re going to be working around the clock and right now, it’s all hands-on deck,” she said. “We want to have people identified soon and we want to be able to start going into multiple phases of the investigation, and in this case this is what we’re seeing in phase one.”

Officers said it’s not clear what happened first: the shooting or the crash. Additionally, it’s not clear if this was an isolated incident.

“We do want to get to the bottom of this,” Iannuzzi added.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information pertaining to the case is asked to contact the Ocoee Police Department by calling 407-905-3160 or Crimeline.
