Marilyn Demps said her 17-year-old son was one of the victims.

“My son is lying in the hospital right now in serious condition. I don’t know if he’s going to make it or not,” Demps said. “He got shot in the chest. The bullet came out on the side, so they got him stable right now, but it doesn’t look good.”

She said she wants the violence to stop. “

“I don’t know who coming through shooting these kids, but I wish they would stop because this is getting really serious,” said Demps.

“Investigators are currently working several leads in the investigation, and our department is not releasing any more additional information at this time,” the department wrote in a news release.

“The individuals that we are considering suspects at this time did hop in the car and flee the area. We are not releasing information on that vehicle at this time,” Captain Scott Allen from Winter Garden Police said. “We do receive calls in this area, but calls of this magnitude are not normal.”

Sky 6 video from the scene showed dozens of yellow evidence markers outside the home and a blue car with bullet holes in it.

Anyone who has information about the shooting is asked to call Detective Dave Clarke at 407-656-3636 ext. 4092 or Crime at 800-423-TIPS.
