Deputies said a boater struck an object while unloading his boat from a trailer. Investigators said once a dive team responded to the scene they discovered the body inside the submerged vehicle.
The 911 caller who reported hitting the sunken vehicle with her boat said she was out there “all the time” and it was the first time she noticed it.
Authorities later identified the person as Robert Satterlee, 67, who was reported missing on June 15 from Palm Bay.
There is no reason to suspect foul play at this time, according to the sheriff’s office.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call 321-633-8413.
