UPDATE: Sunrail trains near Poinciana and Kissimmee back open after crash near tracks

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Two Sunrail trains traveling between Poinciana and Kissimmee resumed normal operations Monday evening after being halted for several hours due to police activity near the tracks, according to the commuter rail.

SunRail officials said in a tweet around 2 p.m. that trains P321 southbound and P322 northbound were canceled.

Train P323 southbound was delayed 30 minutes and train P320 northbound was delayed 45 minutes as of about 3:40 p.m. Monday.

Before 5:30 p.m. SunRail provided an update saying all trains were back on schedule.

The Kissimmee Police Department said a crash near the tracks at Clyde Avenue and Penfield Street was to blame for the delays. No injuries were reported.
