JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis held a news conference Monday morning in Jacksonville to give an update on monoclonal antibody treatment centers across the state.
The news conference took place at 10 a.m. at the Duval County health department.

Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry and Tito Rubio, the interim Duval County health officer, attended the briefing, as well as Toma Dean, a woman pictured earlier this month in a photo that circulated online of a woman on the floor of a monoclonal treatment site.
She shared the story of her treatment experience, and encouraged others who might think they’re even “half as sick” as she appeared to be in the photo to seek treatment because she believes it saved her life.
DeSantis has been touring the state recently to open additional sites. So far, 21 state-run sites are open and offering Regeneron treatments. More than 30,000 treatments have been administered since the first site opened in Jacksonville, according to the governor.
