Pedestrian struck, killed by two vehicles in Daytona Beach, police say

Incident occurred near Clyde Morris Boulevard

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A man was killed after being struck by two vehicles in Daytona Beach on Monday afternoon, officers said.

Daytona Beach police responded to 1270 Bellville Road, near Clyde Morris Boulevard, around 12:13 p.m.

Upon arrival, police found the pedestrian lying on the eastbound lanes. He died at the scene.

Investigators said they believe a pedestrian attempting to cross the road, traveling north, was hit by a silver Hyundai Genesis.

He was then projected into the path of another vehicle, also heading east, and struck again.

Both drivers involved in the wreck remained at the scene.

According to police, no charges have been filed against the drivers in the accident at this time.
