BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Families and individuals searching for a place to share in a Thanksgiving meal or pick up a holiday turkey still have a few choices leading into the holiday.
At least one major turkey and food giveaway will take place Wednesday at the Chabad of the Space and Treasure Coast center in Viera, according to News 6 partners Florida Today.

“This is for everyone, our chance to give back for Thanksgiving,” Rabbi Zvi Konikov said of the drive-thru event.
On Tuesday, Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Melbourne delivered dozens of turkeys and chickens along with fresh vegetable and holiday fixings to residents in a drive-thru giveaway.

Several locations across Brevard County have been providing Thanksgiving meals to those in need over the past week or so in preparation for the holiday. For those unable to go to a restaurant, there will be a number of locations serving up free dishes of turkey, stuffing and desserts for those hoping for a fresh holiday meal.
Here are some places you can visit Wednesday and Thanksgiving day to get a free meal:
- Titusville Civic Center - Free Thanksgiving Dinner 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday - dine-in, delivery, and take out available; call 321-300-2777 to make a reservation or just show up
- Chabad Viera - drive-thru food distribution Wednesday 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. - first 75 people get a free turkey; call 321-777-2770 for more information
- S. Deleon and Whispering Hills Road in Titusville - free hot turkey meal, dessert and entertainment Wednesday 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; first come, first serve.
- Melbourne Daily Bread - free Thanksgiving meal 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday
- Salvation Army on Hickory Street - Thanksgiving dinner 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.
