POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk County sheriff’s detectives arrested 46-year-old Robert Scott on multiple charges of sex crimes against minors on Monday.

Investigators said Scott had inappropriate contact with two teenage girls, sending nude pictures of himself to one and took video of the other changing through her bedroom window.

Detectives said the two reported the incidents on Monday. According to the report, the teens also reported that Scott showed one of them pornography on his cell phone, and verbally told her he wanted to have sex with her.

PCSO detectives said when they interviewed Scott later that day, he confessed to all the incidents, and said he knew how old both victims were at the time.

Scott is a registered sex-offender. According to records, he was first registered in 2003, after he was convicted for Lewd of Lascivious Battery on a child 12-15 years old.

“A leopard can’t change its spots,” said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd. “He’ll hopefully be held accountable and sent to prison where he won’t be able to victimize children.”

Upon his arrest on Monday, police also learned he had failed to comply with registering requirements of his sex offender status, not reporting a new vehicle he had bought, a new phone number and a new Facebook account.

He is being charged on a total of nine charges, including Video Voyeurism and three counts of Sex Offender failure to register.
