Dog killed in Orange County crash between Tesla, school bus, FHP says

No students were on board when crash occurred, officials say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – One dog died and another was injured in an Orange County crash involving a school bus on Wednesday, according to Orange County Fire Rescue.

Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Kim Montes said the driver of the Tesla was transported to the hospital and the other dog was taken by animal services following the collision near the intersection of Semoran Boulevard and East Colonial Drive.

There were no children on board the bus, according to the FHP.

According to Orange County Public Schools, the bus was heading toward Colonial High School for afternoon dismissal.

The crash occurred when the school bus made a left turn in front of the Tesla.

Montes added the bus driver was at fault for the crash and is facing charges that have yet to be determined.
