The 50,000 square foot, multi-tiered exhibit allows “guests to experience the interstellar travel of tomorrow while celebrating what is happening right now within the space program,” a release reads.

Atmospheric effects, space artifacts and a 4D motion theater will immerse guests in an intergalactic experience, officials said.

The first floor of the attraction surrounds guests in a space sculpture garden, featuring artifacts and models like the Orion crew vehicle from EFT-1 mission, Boeing CST-100 Starliner crew vehicle, SpaceX Falcon 9 booster, Sierra Space’s Dream Chaser, NASA Space Launch System and ULA Atlas V and Delta IV heavy rockets.

A trip to the second floor brings visitors to a “30-foot, floor-to-ceiling Robotic Trail Blazers Wall with interactive, touchscreen displays through which guests can learn about almost 40 different satellites and probes in space,” according to an official release.

Those interested can also learn about the James Webb Space Telescope with holographic images and video and a touchscreen booth before seeing the stars for themselves through a Planewave CDK20 Telescope.

In the distance, guests can glimpse launches and landings before they board their own space flight, which include one of four journeys (Cosmic Wonders, Daring Explorers, Red Planet and Uncharted Worlds).

Visitors, vaccinated or not, are required to wear face masks indoors at the center and encouraged to socially distance when possible.
