Woman fatally shoots boyfriend near Sanford, deputies say

Natalia Marie Fulton, 26, faces homicide charge

SANFORD, Fla. – A woman fatally shot her boyfriend near Sanford early Tuesday, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said deputies responded to reports of a shooting after 1:30 a.m. near the 2000 block of Muddy Lane. When deputies arrived, they found 41-year-old Aaron Schuyler Payne dead in the roadway.

Officials said 26-year-old Natalia Marie Fulton, Payne’s girlfriend, was arrested in connection with the shooting and faces a homicide charge.

According to an arrest report, witnesses told deputies they heard an argument between Payne and Fulton followed by one gunshot.

The sheriff’s office said the witnesses reported seeing Fulton “leaning over Aaron Payne and rummaging through the bags next to him.” She then ran from the area, according to the report.

No other details about the shooting have been made available.
