Man found dead in 30-person altercation in Titusville ID’d

Police say Anthony Lamar Berry found dead in melee on Rock Pit Road

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – A 31-year-old Mims man was killed Sunday during a 30-person altercation in Titusville, according to police.

Titusville police on Monday said Anthony Lamar Berry died in the incident from an apparent gunshot wound.

According to police, officers were called around 1:30 p.m. to the 500 block of Rock Pit Road, where about 30 people were involved in a verbal and physical fight.

Berry was found lying on the ground after he was apparently shot, according to police, who said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no other reported injuries.

The suspected shooter has not been located.
