2 killed in shooting at Leesburg home

Lake County Sheriff’s Office investigating shooting deaths

LEESBURG, Fla. – Two people were shot and killed early Wednesday at a home in Leesburg, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they responded to a report of a shooting around 4:30 a.m. at a home on Montclair Road.

When they arrived, they found one person injured on the front porch, and one person dead inside the home, according to deputies.

Deputies identified the victim who was found on the porch as Jammy Casteel, 41, who lived at the home. Casteel was taken to the hospital where he died.

The person who was found dead inside the home has been identified as 20-year-old Jamari DeAndre Jones. Investigators believe that victim was brought to the home by a vehicle that later drove away. Deputies said they do not have a vehicle description, but added that this shooting was not a random act of violence.
