DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Two people were found stabbed to death with their throats slashed early Sunday in Daytona Beach, police said.
The Daytona Beach Police Department is investigating the double homicide, which occurred in the 700 block of North Wild Olive Avenue, a couple blocks west of State Road A1A.
Police identified the victims as 48-year-old Terry Aultman and 55-year-old Brenda Aultman. Investigators said the couple were riding their bicycles home after participating in Bike Week festivities when they were attacked.

Police said the couple was found dead with multiple stab wounds and lacerations.
No arrests have been made, and investigators said they are searching for a man who was last seen wearing white or light-colored pants and was carrying a backpack.
“We will spare no expense and leave no stone unturned in order to solve this case,” Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young said in a statement. “I assure you that our detectives are doing all they can to bring justice to the loved ones of these victims.”
Neighbors described the area as nice, quiet and historical.
“We live here. We can do something. Get a good Neighborhood Watch program going. Get people walking the streets,” Bradford Gonzalez said. “The police do a great job. They patrol this area. They’re doing what they’re supposed to be doing, but it’s we the community, people that live here -- if we don’t ban together and come up with a plan, it’s not going to change.”
Another neighbor said police asked to view video recorded by cameras at her home.
“They knocked on my door at 2:15 in the morning, the detectives, because they wanted to get the videos off of my cameras,” said the woman, named Sue. “(The deaths are) disturbing, certainly, and (the officers) were really upset. They said it was horrendous.”
